Hunan TAOSUN Medical Devices Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the research, development, production, and sales of mobile medical equipment such as mobile CT and mobile MRI, as well as digital X-ray detectors.
The company has headquarters in Changsha, and R&D centers in Beijing and Hangzhou. It employs nearly 100 people, with over 70% holding master's degrees or above. The core technical team comes from well-known domestic and international medical device companies such as GE, Siemens, and United Imaging in the United States. The company has collaborated with multiple research institutions and universities, including the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Xiangya Hospital of Central South University; and the Institute of Military Training Medicine of the People's Liberation Army, to conduct joint research in areas such as mobile CT imaging algorithm platforms, mobile CT technology platforms, flat-panel detector image sensors, and 5G mobile medical platforms.
The company is committed to creating mobile CT and mobile MRI solutions for multiple application scenarios, breaking through key core technologies of traditional equipment and conducting technological upgrades and research and development. It develops mobile CT and MRI applicable to bedside use in hospitals and ambulances to meet the needs of medical diagnosis in various scenarios. It plays a key role in stroke emergency response, health check-ups, battlefield medicine, and the construction of 5G medical consortia. Since its establishment, the company has independently developed two mobile CT products with different technological approaches, "Lingtong" and "Fangzhou." Their low radiation, convenient mobility, simple operation, and high-definition image quality meet the clinical diagnostic needs of various applications in orthopedics, joints, thoracic surgery, stroke, etc., across multiple scenarios. The company's self-developed "Automated Tianping System" has significantly narrowed the gap between CBCT and spiral CT technology, and is expected to make CBCT performance equivalent to that of a 64-slice spiral CT in the future. The low-field mobile MRI to be launched by the Beijing R&D center is not only small in size and has a short scanning time, but also has a full range of scanning sequences, clear images, and can quickly diagnose areas such as the head, spine, joints, and breasts. The mobile ultra-low-field head MRI project under development will be used in the neurosurgery operating rooms of hospitals to provide navigation and diagnostic support for stroke patients. Beijing TAOSUN Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, has gathered a group of experienced image sensor design and development experts in the industry. The CMOS flat-panel detector currently under development will provide strong supply support for the core components of mobile CT. The photon-counting detector under development is at the forefront of domestic and international technology, and its successful development will place TAOSUN Microelectronics at the forefront of world chip R&D and design companies.
