Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2012 (document No. [2012] 311 issued by the Department of Educational Technology), it is built upon Central South University and is one of the earliest joint laboratories established by the Ministry of Education and China Mobile Group Company.

Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Primarily focused on intelligent science and technology, it is the overall leading unit of the "Artificial Intelligence Innovation Research Institute", established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a national research institute that was among the first in China to conduct research on brain-like intelligence, and the leading undertaking unit of the country's first "Artificial Intelligence College".

Military Training Medical Research Institute of the General Armament

It was established in 2001 as a military medical specialty center approved by the General Logistics Department and the Ministry of Health. In 2016, it was approved by the General Logistics Department and the Ministry of Health to build the third batch of national clinical key specialties for military construction projects, "Military Medical Specialty (Military Training Medicine)", and undertakes a number of special tasks assigned by the Health Bureau of the Central Military Commission's Logistics Support Department.
