Mobile Medical Education Ministry of China Mobile Joint Laboratory

The "Mobile Medical" Ministry of Education - China Mobile Joint Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory") was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2012 (No. [2012] 311 of the Ministry of Education's Department of Science and Technology) and established with the support of Central South University. It is one of the earliest joint laboratories established by the Ministry of Education and China Mobile Group Company.

The laboratory is mainly established and operated with the support of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and has branches in the School of Computer Science, School of Big Data, School of Software, and School of Business of Central South University. Combining the national development trend of "universal health and lifelong education," the laboratory focuses on the application scenarios of "medical intelligence and health education informatization." The laboratory currently has 19 permanent researchers and more than 40 resident PIs. Among them, there is 1 academician, 16 professors, and 29 doctoral degree holders. In addition, 10 scholars from famous universities in developed countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom serve as visiting professors. Their fields cover big data, artificial intelligence, medical image processing, genetic engineering, and medical engineering, ensuring the advancement and innovation of the laboratory's research projects.
