The "Innovation, Integration, and Development" 2024 County-Level Hospital High-Quality Development Conference (Third Huaming Forum) and the Hunan Provincial Hospital Association County-Level Hospital Management Professional Committee Annual Meeting were held in Ningxiang, Changsha on September 8, 2024. In the golden September, under a clear sky and pleasant weather, Ningxiang People's Hospital celebrated its 85th anniversary. For 85 years, the dedication and hard work of Ningxiang medical professionals have led the hospital's scale and overall service capabilities to the forefront of county-level hospitals in Hunan Province. It is a tertiary comprehensive hospital integrating medical emergency services, teaching and research, and rehabilitation and health care, and is an affiliated hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The hospital covers a total area of 280 mu (approximately 18.6 hectares), has 2019 open beds, 1683 medical and health technicians, 307 senior professionals, 973 intermediate professionals, and 212 doctoral and master's degree holders. The hospital has been selected for the Top 100 Chinese County-Level Hospital Competitiveness Ranking for 13 consecutive years. In the 2022 ranking of the top 100 county-level hospitals, it ranked 26th nationally and 1st in Hunan Province. Eight major clinical specialties and seven major medical technology specialties were included in the top 30 list of county-level hospital specialties; 24 key specialties have been established, including 3 Changsha municipal medical key specialties (urology, cardiology, and neurosurgery).
